In this role, you’ll support colleagues across all business areas and work on a diverse range of legal matters, including corporate, commercial, property and employment law. You’ll also manage consumer court claims and assist with high‑value or complex litigation, ensuring cost‑effective and successful outcomes under appropriate supervision. Responsibilities Assist with a wide variety of legal work, supporting senior team members on a range of legal matters. Manage consumer court claims in‑house and coordinate outsourced work (where appropriate) under appropriate supervision, including liaising with external counsel on high‑value or complex litigation. Provide support on general advisory and pre‑litigation matters, including debt recovery, complex offences and enforcement. Handle key legal administrative tasks such as document execution, indexing, and invoice processing. Undertake legal research and help develop templates, workflows, and best practices. Collaborate with Customer Service & Complaints teams to resolve complex issues early and reduce litigation risk. Contribute to strategic projects and commercial arrangements as needed. Collaborate with other members of the Legal team to manage workload requirements. Promote Lookers’ strategy, values and behaviours. Qualifications What We’re Looking For Law degree, SQE or GDL and LPC, or working towards the CILEX. Experience in litigation and consumer law (including the Consumer Rights Act 2015) is an advantage. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a positive, clear communication style. Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure. Ability to build and maintain positive relationships quickly with colleagues and external partners. Enthusiasm for learning and adaptability to new practice areas.
