This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a busy environment, delivers excellent customer service, and can motivate and support team members. Responsibilities Assist in preparing and cooking meals for pupils Assist in planning and controlling all aspects of the service Maintain a clean and tidy kitchen Assist in costing, stock‑taking and maintaining appropriate records using IT tools Use the learning system and Oracle Assist with staff training Help maintain a menu with balanced diets and allergen control Be aware of pupils’ dietary preferences and care needs Manage the kitchen in the absence of the Catering Supervisor Qualifications Good people skills Passion for food and customer service Team player Food Safety Level 3 Good verbal and written communication skills Allergy Awareness Certificate Experience in a similar environment High standards and quality drive A “can‑do” attitude Previous kitchen experience is essential to this role.
