OverviewThis job is brought to you by Jobs/Redefined, the UK's leading over-50s age inclusive jobs board.About the roleAre you an experienced Quantity Surveyor looking to take your next step in a high-profile, technically fascinating environment?Balfour Beatty is proud to be supporting the transformation of the Rolls-Royce facility in Derby - a critical upgrade to help deliver major future government projects, and we're looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Commercial team.This is a fantastic opportunity to lead commercial management activity on a high-value, strategic programme while mentoring and supporting the next generation of commercial professionals.ResponsibilitiesAs a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you'll be responsible for managing all commercial aspects across your area of the project - including costs, income, subcontractor engagement, and change management.Lead commercial planning and forecastingPrepare activity and resource schedulesAnalyse tender documents and negotiate subcontract packagesSupport claims, contract changes, and compensation eventsOversee internal reporting, KPIs, and cost controlSupport the recruitment and development of junior commercial staffPromote best practice and digital/LEAN initiatives in commercial governanceQualificationsWe're seeking someone who brings a mix of commercial experience, leadership capability, and technical understanding.
