In addition, there are head offices in Sheffield and Chesterfield. Training is delivered nationally with bespoke venues.We employ approximately 200 staff and associates and deliver training to over 10,000 learners annually.We specialise in both commercial and funded training and are proud to be nationally recognised as one of the UK’s largest construction training providers. It is our aim to achieve excellence through innovation and collaboration and be outstanding in our engagement with clients and the communities we support.We are currently recruiting for a highly organised, part qualified accountant to join our existing team.ResponsibilitiesManage the bank and cash function including reconciliations, receipts and supplier paymentsPrepare internal payroll and pension function, ensuring salaries and deductions are processed accuratelyRecord financial transactions accurately and provide reports when requiredPreparation of the quarterly VAT returnAssist in analysing financial data and reconciling discrepanciesAssist the finance team with ad hoc projectsQualifications and ExperiencePart-qualified accountant or QBE with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a finance rolePrior experience processing staff payrollFully fluent using Microsoft ExcelAccurate with acute attention to detailOrganised with a pro‑active approach and strong communication skillsFluent level of both spoken and written EnglishDesirable Skills and ExperienceExperience working with Sage 200Construction sector experienceTraining sector experienceEducational RequirementsEducated to a minimum of GCSE grade C in English and Maths or equivalentPart Qualified Accountant with a qualification from an institution such as:Association of Chartered Accountants (ACA)Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA)Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA)Institute of Financial Accountants (IFA)Fully AAT Qualified or Qualified through extensive experienceBenefitsA competitive salaryOption for hybrid role - 2 days a week on site (set days), 3 days working from home25 days holiday + Bank Holidays plus two days additional annual leave following two years’ serviceHoliday buy and sell schemeEmployer contributory pension schemeHealth Cash Back SchemeContinuous Professional DevelopmentAnnual Volunteering DayReferral programmeFree parkingA challenging and rewarding role in a successful and growing businessLocation and ReportingYou will report to the Head of FinanceYou will be based at Unit 1, The Bridge Business Centre, Beresford Way, Chesterfield, S41 9FG for a minimum of 2 days per week with Hybrid working options availableSeniority levelMid‑Senior levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionEducationEducation Administration Programs #J-18808-Ljbffr
