You’ll act as a key point of contact for clients, while ensuring high quality, technically sound work is delivered across accounts and tax. You’ll review and coach the work of junior colleagues, contribute to advisory projects and play an important part of building trusted relationships with our clients.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop strong and lasting relationships with clients, understanding their needs and becoming a trusted advisorManage a client portfolio, ensuring accurate and up to date recordsPlan and manage tax engagements, providing strategic advice and review junior colleagues workOversee the preparation and review of client accounts, support client decision-making and contribute to advisory work as neededSupervise and mentor junior colleagues, ensuring quality and fostering growth through sound knowledge sharing and hands-on supportManage your workload and deadlines effectively while ensuring delivery of an exceptional serviceSkills, Knowledge & ExpertiseFull or part qualified (ACCA, ICAS or equivalent)Strong technical grounding across accounts, tax and auditProficient with accounting, tax and audit systemsCommercially minded with clear understanding of client business contextsOrganised with the ability to balance multiple tasks and prioritiesJob BenefitsCompetitive salary33 days annual leave (plus extra after 3 & 5 years’ service)Pension (up to 10% employee contribution, matched by EQ)Life insurance (4 x annual salary)Private medical cover (eligible at certain grades and/or after specified length of service)Income protection – eligible after completing 1 year of serviceEnhanced family-friendly leave and pay – eligible after 6 and 12 months servicePaid volunteering time (14 hours annually)EE mobile discount (for you + friends/family)Support for CGI qualification & continuous trainingFriendly, inclusive work culture with regular social eventsBelong @ EQ, Part of the Sumer GroupAt Sumer, we are committed to fostering an inclusive and diverse work environment, not just as buzzwords, but as the heartbeat of our team.
