Senior Quantity Surveyor (HS2)Salary: to £90k + benefitsBased: London (NW1)Are you a Senior Quantity Surveyor interested in working on one of the key HS2 contracts?Our client is undertaking one of the most prestigious project awards given for HS2 and requires a commercially astute Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the team. The role will see you take a key part in drafting contractual notifications and correspondence for review, identifying commercial risk (things like disallowed costs), and supporting the Lead Commercial Manager in acting on and responding to queries raised within the commercial and delivery teams.Commercial attributes for the role will involve the following:Administer contractual terms and conditions for suppliers and sub- contractors, draft contracts and review accordinglyBe able to spot commercial riskSupport the assessment of EWN’s and compensation eventsSupport the change management process in conjunction with other functionsInput to the monthly consolidated project-wide cost / expenditure reportAssess potential contractor and supplier claims and make recommendations for settlement.Undertake cost analysisReview all instructions issued by the project manager for cost implicationsSupport the project manager in the resolution of any claims and disputes as may arise with the contractorThe following background is preferred:Major station or construction project experience, £100m+Strong NEC backgroundDegree qualified or CharteredStructured career historyRail would be beneficial, not essentialLooking for a long term career movePlease contactMichael Nordoffon07816 841480 orM.Nordoff@calco.co.ukfor more information. #J-18808-Ljbffr
