Our English Department is home to a dedicated, experienced, and well-qualified team, including GCSE examiners, literacy leads, and SEN specialists. About the Role: You will: Deliver engaging and inspiring lessons to GCSE English r e-sitters or lower ability learners. With a possible requirement to also deliver Functional Skills (FS) English classes. Recognise and address barriers to learning while building positive relationships with students to unlock their potential. Contribute to collaborative planning, resource development, and student monitoring. Create a safe, positive, and motivating learning environment for students who may have faced perceived failures in English. Key Requirements: Qualified teacher status with experience teaching GCSE/ FS English. A strong understanding of the challenges and barriers learners may face. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to foster positive relationships and maximize learner engagement and progress.
