You'll play a vital role to influence key internal and external customers, deputise for senior colleagues and contribute to the broader BCB strategy, goals and business decision making of the area. Responsibilities Prepare, analyse, review, brief and present sophisticated reports and papers for the Board, Group Executive Committee or other senior committees, investigating issues and solutions with the relevant business areas. Handle the operation of the GEC, Board and Group Risk Committees BCB updates, writing and reviewing Executive and Board papers; own the monthly BCB Business Review & Support Meeting (BRSM) agenda with the CEO and formulate clear updates for Group CEO. Run the end‑to‑end BCB Executive Committee, setting forward agenda with the CEO, ensuring papers align with strategy and objectives; lead BCB off‑sites 3–4 times a year and work with the BCB Senior Leadership Team for smooth operation. Undertake specific research on a wide range of subject matter, recommending solutions/actions as directed by the Executive. Engage senior key customers including the Group Chief Executive Office, BU offices and other Group functions to stay on top of emerging matters and ensure BCB is appropriately represented and responsive. Champion opportunities for change that enhance colleague engagement, continuous improvement and efficient governance of the BCB Business Unit. Build and maintain internal and external networks to influence the strategic agenda, identify and enhance business operations, and build our profile. Liaise with Group Corporate Affairs to plan, coordinate and deliver conferences, produce speeches, presentations and communications activities, ensuring messages align with business strategy and are communicated to key audiences. Lead special projects ensuring alignment with Group and business strategy; collaborate with People and the Chief Operating Office on the performance management framework for BCB CEO LT. Organise the efficient day‑to‑day running of the Executive Office in conjunction with the PA, screening incoming information and communications and prioritising appropriately. Ensure compliance with SMR, Group policies and standards; maintain the Executive Office Shared drive and critical records. Support the BCB CEO in managing the office, maintaining records and following the Executive Handbook, Group policies and standards. What You'll Need Do you have deep commercial understanding of the Business & Commercial Banking business with strong data and analytical capabilities able to translate complex financial information into insight and executable plans?
