Engagement Group Overview The Engagement Group (ENGT) provides high-level guidance and support to ensure the Enterprise engages – both internally and externally – in a clear, targeted, and consistent manner. By managing the frameworks, toolkits, templates, systems and processes and supporting delivery and execution, the group enables the Enterprise to effectively map, network, collect, shape, and execute events. It also ensures that Metrea’s messaging remains current, its tone aligned, and its brand represented consistently across all touchpoints. The Group also oversees corporate memberships, manages the Enterprise’s network, and develops branded assets that accurately reflect Metrea’s identity. Position Summary Metrea is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Communications Specialist to support the growing needs of the Enterprise. This role will report directly to the Head of Communications and work in close collaboration with the Events and Creative Teams and senior stakeholders across the organisation. You'll be instrumental in delivering a wide range of internal and external communication elements, ensuring our messaging is consistent, compelling, and aligned with our company's mission. The ideal candidate is an organised, proactive professional who thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment. They must possess exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, a sharp eye for detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities with professionalism and flexibility. Role And Responsibilities Internal Communications Develop, design, build and distribute an extensive monthly newsletter, including sourcing content, writing engaging copy, and designing the layout to maximise readership and impact. Manage the internal communications request board, effectively triaging and prioritising incoming requests to ensure all internal stakeholders receive timely and effective support. Support the development of the global communication channel portfolio, identifying opportunities to optimise existing channels and explore new ones to ensure all communication is effective, engaging, and fit for the future. Build strong relationships across the organisation to support long-term planning with key teams, including Events and Strategic Relations. Content Development Work closely with Market Groups and Creative teams to own the development of high-quality presentation decks for enterprise-wide use, ensuring they are visually compelling and on-brand. Collaborate with the Events and Creative teams to create compelling and on-brand materials for trade shows, events, and other key initiatives hosted by Metrea. This includes everything from digital signage and brochures to social media graphics. Craft and edit engaging content for various platforms, including company intranet articles, leadership messages, and employee stories, ensuring a consistent voice and tone. External Communications Help the Head of Communications with all press inquiries, acting as a key point of contact for media, drafting press releases, and assisting with media monitoring and reporting. Support the maintenance of the company's external communications calendar, helping to plan and execute timely announcements and campaigns. Draft and manage content for external platforms, such as the company website and social media channels. Skills And Experience 1-3 years of experience in in-house internal communications, content communications, or public relations role. A degree-level education in communications, marketing, journalism, or a related field. Experience in digital design, ideally with proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator). Excellent, clear, and concise written communication skills, with a proven ability to craft compelling narratives for different audiences and channels. Expertise in managing multi-channel internal communications, with a strong understanding of how to use platforms like intranets, newsletters, and event platforms effectively. Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects, meet tight deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities. Familiarity with project management tools like Monday.com is a plus. A creative thinker who is proactive, self-motivated, and comfortable working unsupervised while exercising leadership and influencing change. Experience operating in an international environment is a strong asset, as is an appreciation for linguistic and cultural differences. Some global travel may be required.
