We are currently seeking an experienced Health & Safety Advisor to join our award‑winning Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Team. Our in‑house team aims to be approachable and flexible, working with site teams to successfully deliver projects. Reporting directly to the Head of Group Health, Safety and Environment, you will have first class communication and influencing skills coupled with the ability to work on your own initiative. A background in the Construction industry is ESSENTIAL. Previous knowledge of audits is desirable.ResponsibilitiesEnsure a safe workplace without risk to health & environmentEnsure company Health & Safety policies, procedures, rules and regulations are adhered to across the groupEnsure that safety inspections are carried out in line with departmental expectationsGive sound competent advice to site management, assisting in resolving highlighted issuesLiaise with external consultantsProvide regular updates of site issues to the EHS TeamAttend meetings and audits as required to fulfil the role as a team memberWork together with site teams to resolve problemsBuild strong relationships at all levelsWe are looking for a candidate with the right skills; someone with strong communication, leadership and influencing skills. You must be assertive, confident and able to foster positive working relationships whilst solving problems and able to calmly and confidently respond to changing situations.
