Detailed job description and main responsibilities To understand the role in more detail please read the full job description and person specification documents which are attached to this advert Person specification Qualifications Essential criteria BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy HCPC Registration Evidence of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Experience working within Oncology or Cancer Care services Evidence of MSc modules or willingness to complete ACP / ECP Desirable criteria Member of Chartered Society of Physiotherapy Leadership training Member of Specialist interest group Experience Essential criteria clinicians with Band 6 experience of working in the acute NHS setting Experience working as an on-call respiratory Physiotherapist Experience working within Oncology and Cancer Care services Ability to assess, manage and treat patients with complex multi pathologies at highly specialist level at an extended role beyond core professional role, including those identified as critically ill. Desirable criteria Participation in research or QI within Oncology or Cancer Care Undergraduate teaching Competencies Essential criteria Ability to assess, manage and treat patients with complex multi pathologies at highly specialist level at an extended role beyond core professional role. Demonstration of advanced clinical reasoning skills Ability to work autonomously and without guidance Ability to critically analyse a service and implement necessary improvements for optimal patient care and service delivery Desirable criteria Ability to write in-depth reports demonstrating high level of analysis and assessment interpretation skills Knowledge Essential criteria In-depth understanding of the pathology of conditions that occur within a specialist area of Oncology and Palliative Care. Knowledge of the management of palliative patients In-depth understanding of NSF’s Clinical Governance and their relevance to clinical situations. Other requirements Essential criteria Be able to speak English as necessary to undertake the role Ability to move and handle patients and equipment using approved techniques and work in confined spaces Ability to utilise specialist equipment relevant for patient group #J-18808-Ljbffr
