OverviewJob Title: 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant (TA) — Location: Bognor. Pay Rate: £85 – £95 per day (depending on experience). Start Date: Immediate. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference by providing personalised support to help pupils achieve both personal and academic growth.Role OverviewAs a 1:1 SEN TA, you will provide dedicated, personalised support to a pupil with Special Educational Needs (SEN), helping them access the curriculum and develop independence, confidence, and resilience.ResponsibilitiesProvide personalised, one-to-one support to a pupil with SEN, helping them access learning and develop independence.Assist the class teacher and SENCO in implementing individual learning and behaviour plans.Help create a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment tailored to the pupil’s needs.Encourage confidence, resilience, and positive behaviour in the pupil.Monitor progress and provide feedback to inform ongoing support strategies.Promote an inclusive and respectful classroom culture.RequirementsPrevious experience supporting pupils with SEN or additional learning needs is highly desirable.Patience, empathy, and a flexible approach to supporting individual needs.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.A genuine passion for helping pupils succeed academically and personally.An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any gaps.What We OfferCompetitive daily rates of pay.Flexible day-to-day or long-term placements.Access to ongoing professional development and training.Dedicated support from an experienced education consultant throughout your placement.Please be advised that this role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection and that successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks; including providing an enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service, or completing an application for a new check.As an ethical, inclusive and independent recruitment agency, GSL Education are committed to providing quality teaching and support staff in schools across the UK.To apply for the role of 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant, please click Apply Now to submit your CV.
