Placement Officer – Manchester City Council Join to apply for the Placement Officer role at Manchester City Council. Role Overview An exciting opportunity has arisen for Placement Officers within the Integrated Control Room within the Manchester Local Care Organisation. You will play a key role in the identification of suitable care packages and placements. The role ensures the receipt of accurate and detailed information from community and hospital teams and uses this information to ensure the matching of resources available to the need of the citizen. You will show the Our Manchester behaviours in your attitude and work. Responsibilities Identification of suitable care packages and placements. Ensure receipt of accurate and detailed information from community and hospital teams. Match resources available to citizen needs. Deliver a centralised placement function service and act as a Single Point of Contact. Process and order all elements of individual support plans end‑to‑end. Coordinate with commissioned providers and other stakeholders, including contract monitoring and reporting. Work effectively as a member of the Brokerage Team, delivering specific areas of the Service. Qualifications Enthusiastic, resilient, conscientious, and a team player. Great organisational skills, experienced in a fast‑paced environment, able to manage and prioritise changing workloads. Good working knowledge of IT systems and confidence in daily use of a range of systems. Confident communicator, both verbal and written.
