Senior Equity Analyst - Global Emerging Markets ex AsiaA global asset management firm is seeking a Senior Analyst/Junior Portfolio Manager to join its top-performing Global Emerging Market Equity team. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a highly collaborative, small team of Portfolio Managers and Analysts. The successful candidate will have generalist sector coverage with a particular focus on Latam and MENA markets.ResponsibilitiesConduct in-depth fundamental analysis on a variety of companies in EM ex Asia to generate investment recommendationsTake an active role in portfolio management activities including security selection, position sizing, and portfolio constructionMonitor portfolio holdings, maintain financial models and produce timely updates on company performance and outlookPerform macroeconomic analysis to drive portfolio construction and risk managementEngage actively with portfolio companies on ESG and strategic issuesContribute to client engagement activities including portfolio reviews, investment presentations and supporting the growth of the GEM franchiseAssist in the preparation of marketing materials and monthly investment commentariesCandidate Requirements10-15 years of relevant EM equity research experience at a long-only asset manager or hedge fundPrior experience covering ex Asia EM regions, notable Latam and MENA as a generalistFlexible investment style aligned to a 1-2 year investment horizonStrong interpersonal skillsConfident and effective public speaker who is adept at presenting and interacting with clientsStrong academic backgroundComfortable working in small teams with independent working styleMason Blake acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
