About the Role Are you looking for a diverse role that is fun, stimulating and rewarding every day? We are looking for confident Support Workers to join our friendly staff team at Linthorpe, Middlesbrough. Our Service At our Edwards Court service, we support service users with a wide range of support needs including learning disabilities, mental health needs and complex needs. We currently have two people living here with the capacity for one more. Both of the people we support are very individual in their needs however they both love to live life to the fullest and require support to complete the activities they enjoy the most, whether this is attending a football match, going to the disco or attending a show at the theatre. Support Worker Duties Providing excellent care and support to individuals with learning disabilities, challenging behaviour and non‑verbal communication requirements. Encouraging service users to engage in a range of exciting social activities both within and outside their homes. Developing warm and trusting relationships with service users and their families enabling them to enjoy their time at the service to the fullest. Administrating and monitoring prescribed medication to service users. What we’re looking for A UK driving licence is preferred but not essential. Previous experience is not required as full training will be provided, but the preferred candidate must be confident using computers. Location Our service is very easy to get to, located in Linthorpe just on the outskirts of Middlesbrough town centre with excellent public transport links, including regular bus and trains to the wider area.
