OverviewDomestic Abuse Refuge ManagerLeicesterSalary : £30,800 per annumHours of work : Full-time, PermanentIn partnership with a highly respected charity, I am recruiting for Refuge Manager for a 24-hour domestic abuse refuge in Leicester. This essential service provides safety, stability, and hope to women and children escaping domestic violence.This is a unique opportunity to lead a dedicated team within a values-driven organisation that champions the rights and recovery of survivors. If you're an experienced professional with a background in care or social welfare, this role offers the chance to make a real and lasting impact.Key duties and responsibilitiesLead and manage staff rotas, performance, and professional developmentOversee budgets and financial processesRecruit, train, and support staff membersAssist residents with housing and benefit applicationsMaintain accurate records and use internal systems effectivelyRepresent the service through presentations and stakeholder engagementBuild strong partnerships with local authorities, community groups, and other organisationsApplications are welcome from compassionate and capable leaders who bring :A relevant qualification or equivalent experience supporting vulnerable groups (women, children, survivors of domestic abuse)At least 3 years' experience in a care or social welfare settingExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalFluency in English plus one main BAME languageFlexibility to work unsociable hours when requiredStrong administrative and organisational skillsAbility to interpret and counsel effectivelyUnderstanding of multi-agency working across statutory and voluntary sectorsFull UK driving licence, access to a vehicle, and business insuranceA clear Enhanced DBS checkThis is more than a management role - it's a chance to lead a service that transforms lives.
