Fixed term for 12 months.Salary: £38,682 - £46,580 per annumClosing Date: Wednesday 26th November 2025Interview Date: TBCThis post may close early due to high numbers of applications, so you are advised to apply promptly.ResponsibilitiesComplete cognitive and complex functional assessments, plan and deliver rehabilitation programmes including group sessions, and discharge planning to support patients' smooth transition into community stroke services.Work closely with the wider stroke MDT, including neuropsychology, and supervise and train other team members as appropriate.Undertake assessments, clinical diagnosis and treatment of patients with a wide range of problems within the specialist area, often involving complex or chronic presentations.Act as an autonomous practitioner, undertaking a significant specialist clinical caseload without direct supervision.Supervise and teach junior qualified therapists, assistants and undergraduate students within the clinical specialty.Demonstrate leadership skills and contribute to service development and monitoring of standards of practice.Work flexibly over a 7‑day period as service requirements dictate.Abide by the British Association of Occupational Therapists Code of Professional Conduct and carry out assessments and treatments of patients with varying degrees of disability on a daily basis.Conduct comprehensive assessments including activities of daily living and cognitive assessments.Plan and implement occupational therapy interventions, involve patients/carers, facilitate independence, and liaise closely with the wider MDT for discharge planning.Prescribe and instruct patients/carers in safe use of equipment following assessment and organize minor adaptations to patients' homes.Maintain professional responsibility for caseload organisation, clinical governance, audit, risk management and patient‑focussed care.Document all client interventions timely, objectively and confidentially in multidisciplinary care plans, medical notes and occupational therapy reports.Attend multidisciplinary case conferences and planning meetings to give feedback regarding occupational therapy intervention.Develop and maintain fieldwork education placements for occupational therapy students and supervise students on placement.Carry out supervision and appraisal of therapy support staff and educate other disciplines about occupational therapy.Maintain competency through CPD activities, maintain a portfolio, stay current with evidence‑based practice and incorporate new developments into the specialist area.Accept clinical responsibility for a designated caseload of patients, organizing it effectively and autonomously.Participate in in‑service training programmes, individual training sessions and external courses, undertake reflective practice.Ensure safe systems of work, comply with Health & Safety at Work Act and occupational therapy service policies, maintain and review policies and contribute to service provision reviews.BenefitsOn‑site nursery27 days minimum annual leave plus bank holidaysCycle to work schemeFlexible workingExtensive in‑house course learning directoryBuying and selling of annual leaveSubsidised restaurantTranquillity gardenGenerous subsidised on‑site parkingFor a full comprehensive list of main responsibilities and duties, please kindly refer to the job description and personal specification attached. #J-18808-Ljbffr
