We are looking for an experienced nurse in Colorectal cancer and/or Oncology nursing to join our Colorectal cancer nurse specialist team. The GI Nursing team at UHS is a progressive, experienced and highly skilled team of cancer clinical nurse specialists. Responsibilities Provide support and care to patients with colorectal cancer and their families, acting as the key worker and bridging the transition of care between speciality teams. Assist and ensure treatment is delivered in appropriate time frames, in accordance with national cancer guidelines. Work collaboratively with all members of the MDT at UHS and in referring centres to ensure all patients receive the highest level of specialist care and support. Support the MDT to deliver high‑quality, holistic care for all patients with proven and suspected colorectal cancer, from diagnosis to discharge. Use skills and knowledge across the sub‑specialities that make up the team, deliver stratified approaches to care, and foster a culture of learning, development and excellence in nursing care delivery. Participate in projects shaping models of specialist service delivery for the future. Qualifications & Competencies Experienced nurse in colorectal cancer and/or oncology nursing. Excellent communication skills with the ability to work in a multidisciplinary setting. Ability to work autonomously and as a team player. Experience working with cancer patients; the role is emotionally demanding and requires resilience. Commitment to key organisational values and fostering a culture of learning.
