Medical Laboratory Assistant, Histopathology Department Employer: Health Services Laboratories (part of Sonic Healthcare UK) Location: 60 Whitfield St, London, W1T 4EU Contract: Full time, Permanent (37.5 hours per week) Salary: Up to £27,008 per annum (DOE) About the role The HSL Cellular Pathology service is a consolidated service involving the Royal Free Hospital (RFH), University College London Hospitals (UCLH), Barnet & Chase Farm (B&CF) and the North Middlesex University Hospital (NMUH). Our newly purpose‑designed laboratory at 60 Whitfield Street opened in January 2020, with entirely new equipment, and houses one of the largest Cellular Pathology services in Europe. We also run a spoke laboratory at the Royal Free Hospital, providing fast‑track testing for urgent specimens and full medical and advanced practitioner dissection. The service operates the HSL‑Advanced Diagnostics laboratory, providing a local and international IHC, FISH and molecular referral service. The laboratories are accredited by UKAS to ISO15189:2022 standards. We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Medical Laboratory Assistant to join our growing team. Previous experience is not essential – full training will be provided.
