Job Overview The Wellbeing and Activities Assistant will support the Wellbeing Coordinator to provide a wide range of activities that engage and stimulate residents’ physical, cognitive, and social wellbeing. You will maintain a safe living and working environment, report changes in residents’ conditions, order and prepare supplies for activities, and establish links with the local community. Responsibilities Support the Wellbeing Coordinator in delivering a wide range of activities to engage and stimulate residents. Maintain a safe living and working environment and contribute to the positive and professional image of the home. Report any changes in residents’ physical or emotional condition to the Wellbeing and Activities Coordinator, Home Manager, and care staff. Assist with ordering and preparing supplies for upcoming activities as directed. Establish links with the local community (e.g., schools, spiritual groups, museums/libraries) to encourage access and promote intergenerational activity. About You We look for candidates who live our values of caring, supportive, honest, respectful, and accountable. Ideal candidates will have: Effective communication skills, both verbal and written. A clear understanding of how interactions with residents affect their general wellbeing. A positive attitude towards older people and a commitment to providing stimulating, quality activities and social events. Previous experience working with older people in a residential nursing/dementia setting. Requirements ADBS Disclosure check (cost covered by Avery Healthcare). Proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
