5 days ago Be among the first 25 applicants Fromefield Manor School are recruiting for a Catering Assistant to join their catering team We are looking for passionate people who can support the provision of the catering operation, assisting with basic food preparation and hygiene, promoting healthy eating and contributing to the wellbeing of our children and young people. In this role, you will, under direction, take responsibility for parts of the catering operation, ensure the kitchen and associated areas meet operational hygiene standards, comply with the Company’s Assured Safe Catering Policies and Procedures, and assist the cook with both the preparation and cooking of meals in accordance with these. The role holder would support our cook to prepare the lunch service for our young people and staff team, maintain the dining room, and help clear away. We are looking for someone who will interact well with our young people and can create interesting visual displays giving information about food, nutrition, culture, and traditions. We would like our successful candidate to be engaging and add an element of creativity and fun to our young people’s lunchtime experience. About The School Fromefield Manor School is a new SEN school (opened September 2024) located in central Frome, Somerset, and is a special school for up to 30 pupils, aged 11‑19, who have a diagnosis of autism with associated complex needs. With a total communication approach and bespoke timetables we are able to ensure our students receive the care, attention, time and dedication to enable them to access education and reach their individual goals and aspirations. Due to expansion, Fromefield Manor are looking for versatile and energetic new team members.
