Job Description As a Development Support Engineer, you will ensure the successful operation and maintenance of our RIAK platform, ensuring optimal performance and reliability for business‑critical systems. You’ll collaborate with a talented team of experts in distributed systems, applying industry best practices to administer and operate our production platforms, and directly impact the success of our open‑source RIAK datastore. This role is eligible for inclusion in the Company’s hybrid working from home policy. Qualifications Demonstrable experience with Linux and Unix, including Bash, AWK, SED and grep. Knowledge and experience of GNU utilities. Ability to make and act on decisions under pressure. Experience with distributed systems. Strong understanding of networking, including host and preferably media layers. Self‑starter with the ability to learn quickly. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. Ability to communicate concisely, both verbally and written. Additional Information Managing system changes. Forecasting production demand and capacity planning. Responding to and managing incidents and emergencies. Monitoring and tuning performance. Identifying and implementing automation to limit repeated steps. Analysing impact of changes.
