Job Description
As a Development Support Engineer, you will be essential for the successful operation and maintenance of our RIAK platform, ensuring optimal performance and reliability for Business-critical systems.
Join our dedicated RIAK team as a Development Support Engineer, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance and availability of our global-scale, Business-critical production system. In this position, you will collaborate with a talented group of professionals, leveraging collective experience, industry best practices, and bespoke services to effectively administer and operate our production platforms.
Our team is composed of delivery-focused, diligent, and resilient experts in distributed systems, all committed to maintaining the highest standards of service. You will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where your contributions directly impact the success of our open-source RIAK datastore. This role is eligible for inclusion in the Company's hybrid working from home policy.
Qualifications
- Demonstrable experience with Linux and Unix, including Bash, AWK, SED and grep.
- Knowledge and experience of GNU utilities.
- Ability to make and act on decisions under pressure.
- Experience with distributed systems.
- Strong understanding of networking, including host and preferably media layers.
- Self-starter with the ability to learn quickly.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to communicate concisely, both verbally and written.
