Role Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Surveyor/Senior Surveyor to join our Valuation & Advisory team, working across a diverse mix of public and private sector portfolio work. The successful candidate will advise UK and international clients on an extensive range of asset types, including major mixed‑use regeneration projects, industrial and logistics parks, town‑centre regeneration projects, shopping centres, retail warehouse parks, trophy and ‘value‑add’ office buildings, schools and sports stadia. Our key clients include local authorities such as Runnymede Borough Council, Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council, and London Borough of Sutton. Main Duties, Responsibilities, Accountabilities Undertake valuations for investment, development, and financial reporting purposes. Prepare detailed valuation reports in accordance with the RICS Valuation – Global Standards (Red Book). Use sound market analysis and recognised valuation methodologies across commercial, operational and mixed‑use assets. Prepare high‑quality Red Book valuation reports and written advice for clients. Research, analyse and present complex planning, appraisal and market data. Liaise with clients and auditors to discuss valuation inputs and outputs. Develop business and maintain client meetings. Contribute to team development through knowledge‑sharing and supporting junior colleagues. Collaborate with other Montagu Evans teams to provide holistic advice. Stay up‑to‑date with market trends, regulatory updates and wider economic influences. Represent the firm at industry events, client meetings and networking opportunities. Raise the internal and external profile of the Valuation & Advisory team through industry events and activities. Desired Knowledge, Skills, Experience & Qualification MRICS qualified and competent in standard RICS Red Book valuations. High attention to detail, well‑organised and a good initiative level. Strong verbal, numerical and report‑writing skills. A team player with leadership potential. Strategic approach to problem solving. Highly motivated. Ability to utilise varying methods of valuation.
