If you want to be part of that journey, then you’ve come to the right place.We’re looking for a Shop Manager to manage our deputy and bank team and together with a wonderful group of loyal volunteers to drive sales in this high-donating and busy flagship shop.This post will have a strong focus on driving sales and Gift Aid, people management, event organisation, visual merchandising and customer experience.Qualifications, Skills, Experience and Knowledge:A passion for retail and being a ‘people person’Good general standard of educationA love of reading and an understanding of the benefits of readingPrevious charity retail experienceStrong communication and interpersonal skillsStrong operational and organisational skillsGood numeracy skillsConfident IT userAbility to work under pressure and multi-taskPhysical strength for manual lifting and handlingSalary: £20,332.80 (Part time x 4 days)Benefits:30 hours a week working 4 out of 7 days trading21 days annual leave (plus bank holidays – pro rata)Wide range of free training coursesTeam camaraderie and supportContribution to community and sustainabilityDBS Check: The successful candidate will be required to undertake an enhanced level DBS check, arranged free of charge.This list of tasks and responsibilities is not exhaustive and the job holder may be required to undertake other relevant and appropriate duties as required by the Manager.What We're AboutAt The Hospice of St Francis we are not all the same and that is our greatest strength.
