We are seeking a talented individual to join us as a Yard Operative to strengthen our Loading team. This permanent, full-time position offers a competitive rate of £13.10 per hour. You will be responsible for the efficient loading, unloading, and management of linen stock and equipment within our busy yard, always ensuring a clean and safe working environment. Working 45 hours per week, 14:00–22:00, including weekends, a valid driving licence is essential for consideration. Responsibilities Always prioritise Yard safety and report any concerns or near misses. Help the transport team offload soiled cages and organise them correctly. Keep the Yard clean, tidy, and well organised so linen and empty cages are easy to access. Ensure delivery areas are clear and safe for unloading. Bring cages into the building to keep the sorting area supplied. Count the cages in the Yard each day and report the numbers to management. Communicate with Shift Leaders about Yard organisation and plans. Support loading and unloading tasks, including rag collections. Shunt vehicles safely around the Yard – training will be provided. Carry out general yard duties such as cleaning, perimeter checks, and debris removal. Maintain regular communication with the Transport Manager and Transport Supervisors. Uniform and PPE provided.
