The Opportunity We are seeking a Senior Theatre Practitioner – Scrub with a strong background in orthopaedic surgery. Experience in robotic‑assisted procedures is highly advantageous. We also welcome applications from Band 5 Theatre Scrub Practitioners with 2–4 years of experience in orthopaedics and related surgical specialties who are ready to take the next step in their career. What You’ll Be Doing Deliver expert scrub support during complex orthopaedic procedures, ensuring patient safety and surgical precision. Prepare instruments and equipment tailored to each procedure, maintaining up‑to‑date surgeon preference cards. Champion best practices and evidence‑based care within the theatre environment. Conduct thorough equipment checks and promptly report any issues to the Theatre Coordinator. Mentor and support junior staff, fostering a culture of learning and collaboration. Let us care for you and your career, the same way you do for others. What You’ll Bring To The Role Registered Nurse (RN) or Operating Department Practitioner (ODP) qualification. Valid NMC Pin or HCPC Registration. Proven experience as a Senior Scrub Theatre Practitioner, ideally with a focus on orthopaedics. Experience with robotic‑assisted surgery is desirable. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Confidence and motivation to support and lead within the theatre team. A collaborative approach and ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
