The Opportunity Prospero Teaching are looking for experienced Behaviour mentor's to be a role model to children who need someone to look up to and get them on the right track. We need someone that has excellent communication and rapport building skills and a passion for connecting with vulnerable students. Hours are flexible and you can choose between morning, noon or evening sessions and fit it around your schedule. This is more than just a mentoring role - it's about forming a trusting relationship, meeting the student where they are, and helping them re‑engage with their learning and life goals. You'll play a crucial part in supporting their personal development, acting as a positive and consistent role model. Key Responsibilities Build a strong, empathetic connection with students to encourage trust and openness. Deliver individual mentoring sessions to help students understand and regulate their emotions. Provide guidance on managing behaviour, avoiding negative influences, and building positive coping strategies. Work collaboratively with parents, carers, teachers, and professionals to develop and maintain a structured, supportive plan tailored to the student's needs. Foster a safe, calm, and non‑judgemental space where students feel seen and heard. Requirements Minimum 1 year experience working one-to-one with children or young people experiencing behavioural or mental health difficulties. Right to work in the UK. Must have, or be willing to undertake, an Enhanced DBS check. Prospero Teaching is acting as an employment business/education recruitment agency in relation to this vacancy.
