As an experienced Mental Health Nurse or Learning Disabilities Nurse from the NHS or private sector in the UK, you can join a multidisciplinary team that works well together to change lives for the better as you develop specialist skills and make a real difference for some of the most vulnerable people in society.What you will be doingAs a qualified Mental Health Nurse (RMN) or Learning Disabilities Nurse (RNLD), you will help people with complex mental health issues, enabling individuals to live in their own space, while also supporting your colleagues and promoting positive teamwork.Your day-to-day will includeProviding high-quality, effective and compassionate nursing care to service usersBeing responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of careProviding mentorship and support to team membersObserving, recording and reporting all service user changes, and maintaining accurate records of care providedSkills and knowledge you will haveA relevant nursing qualificationNMC registration (RMN or RNLD)Strong team-workingskillsA high level of self-motivation and a flexible approachA positive attitude and be naturally caring and compassionateA commitment to high-quality care and to values and evidence-based practiceWhere you will be workingLocation: 2 Burley Court, Steeton, Keighley, West Yorkshire, BD20 6TUJoin the multidisciplinary team at Three Valleys Hospital, care for people with complex mental health issues in a safe and supportive environment. There are a range of services across five wards – including a specialist dementia service - where you’ll gain experience working with gender-specific distinct rehabilitation and step-down services.
