Senior ICT Consultant Turn IT On is currently seeking an experienced ICT Consultant / Senior ICT Technician who is motivated, enthusiastic, and passionate about technology. Location & Salary Buckinghamshire & Berkshire£30,000 - £35,000 Full‑time, full year contract. Responsibilities Handle 2nd/3rd line issues and respond to ICT emergencies & school complaints. Resolve and manage any technical issues that impact the running of schools by providing robust technical solutions. Provide internal network support. Support & mentor 1st/2nd support roles. Enforce and monitor in line with school policies. Lead installation or repair of computers with standardised applications and networking software, diagnosing and solving problems. Manage a wide range of technical duties associated with the computer network and desktop services (desktop computers, iPads, printers, telephones, scanners, projectors, AV lecterns, hardware). Qualifications & Experience • Minimum 2–3 years experience as a Senior ICT Technician or 2nd/3rd support role in the education sector (not essential). • Ability to work independently, excellent troubleshooting and proactive decision‑making skills. • Strong communication and organisational skills; ability to liaise with school senior management. Skills & Abilities Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft Operating Systems. Virtualisation technologies – particularly Hyper‑V. Cloud technologies – Office 365 / Azure. Experience leading installations of servers and networks. Outstanding customer service with positive, proactive communication skills (verbal and written). Flexible, adaptable, friendly and approachable. Excellent team player; ability to work independently and plan & organise own time effectively. Benefits Pension scheme (salary sacrifice).
