Design Coordinator An opportunity has arisen for a Design Coordinator to join the Team at Galliford Try based on Site in Gosport. Responsibilities Build effective working relationships throughout the business up to and including Director level. Develop relationships with internal and external customers. Promote a culture of inclusive customer service and equal opportunities to exemplify and promote Galliford Try. Supervise the work of the assistant design co‑ordinator. Implement and comply with Galliford Try’s SHE policy and procedures, all legal requirements and best practice within the business unit and areas. Support the achievement of the annual financial budget (operating profit) for the business unit. Coordinate the team to manage the process of designing solutions. Assist the Design Manager to propose resources for projects. Assist the Design Manager to implement functional policies. Assist the Design Manager to support the generation of tenders. Support the winning of contracts while minimising risk and maximising gross profit. Manage the design process for tenders as directed. Meet or exceed the expectations of external and internal customers and contribute to achieving the greatest possible satisfaction for all customers in all their dealings with Galliford Try. Assist the Design Manager to propose the design solution for tenders. Assist the Design Manager to conduct value engineering. Prepare monthly policy & progress reports for meetings with the client & architects. Prepare monthly environment spreadsheet. Download and publish documents/drawings in accordance with project procedure as agreed with the Project Design Manager. Assist the Design Manager with internal document review including (incomplete). Qualifications Experience with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Relevant degree and/or experience working in a design management team in a similar field. Member of a professional body (CIOB, RIBA, RICS) is desirable.
