**Your New Role**

Are you an innovative, team player and highly organised Product Designer with a Marine background? Survitec has the perfect role for you

Reporting to the Principal Engineer, our Marine division has an exciting opportunity to bring on board a Product Designer Engineer on a full time, permanent basis at our Gosport Site.

You will focus on executing and coordinating product design tasks as part of a wider design team. You will require the development and use of specialist design, prototyping and engineering skills.

**What You Can Expect from the Role**

**Key Responsibilities and accountabilities**:

- **Develop design concepts to meet business and customer requirements, creating detailed plans and drawings to support the engineering and production. Support the prototyping process, working closely with commercial, production and test colleagues to deliver product excellence
- Carry out a range of product design, development and engineering activities, using established systems and processes to analyse customer needs, define and deliver products or product improvements to meet those needs
- Carry out formal product / technical reviews, identifying shortcomings in existing processes, systems and procedures; uses established change management programs to address shortfalls and drive improvement
- Help others get the most out of knowledge management systems by offering support and advice; supports customers to ensure
- Work within an established project management plan to achieve specific business and function goals

**Skills**

**Essential**
- **2+ years engineering experience
- Educated to University Degree Level
- You will have an excellent team player attitude
- You will have a proactive and reactive mindset
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft packages
