As a Support Worker, you will assist qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of residents. You will provide support with day to day activities, whilst encouraging and promoting independent living. As part of our team, you'll help people reach their potential, through both practical and emotional support, making a positive difference to their lives. Supporting with personal care tasks, such as washing, dressing, eating and personal care Performing light housekeeping tasks, such as dusting, vacuuming, and changing bed clothes Assisting with safe lifting, transferring, repositioning and movement of individuals Assistance and support to attend medical appointments Observe, monitor, and record physical and emotional well‑being, and quickly report any changes to senior staff Supporting the development of important family connections and liaising with specialists, including Speech & Language Therapists and Learning Disability teams Encouraging participation in social and recreational activities that promote involvement and personal growth What you'll bring to the role Our work is rewarding but can be challenging, so resilience is key. To be considered for this role, we require you to have the right to work in the UK. Mount View House is located in the village of Syke near Rochdale, in Greater Manchester. We are in a beautiful rural setting on the edge of Whitworth Moor in the South Pennines. Mount View offers residential support to eight autistic males and females. Although primarily for over 18s, we can support individuals who are 17 and moving from children's services. Our goal is to support the people we are caring for to create and achieve goals to meet their own expectations to lead a fulfilled and enriched life. We recognise that autistic people have the same aspirations and expectations as everyone else and should be empowered to achieve these. We can also support autistic individuals that also have a learning disability, or may present behaviours that challenge.
