Mindworks Hubs are part of Mindworks Surrey, an alliance of NHS, national and local voluntary sector organisations providing mental health services to children in Surrey using the THRIVE approach. The Mindworks Hub South has the main base in Frimley, with a satellite office in Guildford.This post will be suitable for a passionate and highly motivated psychologist interested in ensuring excellent psychological care is accessible for children and young people with complex mental health needs from diverse backgrounds, through delivering direct therapeutic interventions, providing supervision to junior colleagues, and providing consultations to the MDT and other services. This is a part‑time (18.75 hours) secondment cover post based in Guildford.Psychology in SABP has a history of being highly valued and clinicians are well supported to develop their generic and specialist skills in a range of therapeutic models. We encourage staff to be involved in service development, audit and research. We provide regular supervision and access to CPD opportunities.Key ResponsibilitiesTo assess, plan, implement and evaluate the psychological needs of people using our services.To supervise and teach unqualified staff, including students.To promote a psychological perspective within the team and with other agencies.To support team managers and clinical leads in the development and delivering of effective services.To act within the Mental Health Act and Mental Capacity Act (2005), and implement Safeguarding Adult and Child Protection Policies.To carry out comprehensive psychological and cognitive assessments and formulation, plan, implement and evaluate delivery of psychology interventions and consultations to support people with specific needs.To actively involve people in developing and agreeing their own care plan, acting as an advocate and ensuring dignity, choice, self‑esteem, racial, cultural, sexual and religious needs and preferences are respected.To work creatively to adapt verbal and written communication to meet the needs of people who use our services.To undertake comprehensive risk assessments and develop effective risk management plans.To establish and maintain effective partnerships and relationships with colleagues, other agencies, people who use services and their carers.To contribute to conducting clinical audit, quality assurance and research, maintaining current knowledge of research findings and development within specific care group.To develop and deliver specialist teaching/training packages to multi‑disciplinary audiences.To contribute to divisional and team developments in relation to all aspects of psychology practice.To supervise and manage individual performance of assistant psychologists as required.To develop and implement appropriate policies, protocols and care pathways.To ensure diverse needs of people within the care group are addressed within local services and future developments.To practice within a trauma‑informed care framework.To conduct neuropsychological assessments according to appropriate NICE guidelines and use the information to contribute to diagnosis and packages of care.We look forward to receiving your applicationPlease note that we reserve the right to close posts as soon as sufficient applications are received. #J-18808-Ljbffr
