We're working with a well-established mechanical and electrical contractor based in Blackpool to recruit an experienced Mechanical Estimator. About the Company Our client is one of the North-West's leading M&E contractors, with over two decades of proven project delivery. They provide full mechanical and electrical services from design and build to facilities management. Projects typically range from £250k to £6m in value, with a client base that includes schools, hospitals, high-rise apartments, and even football stadiums. They're known for their collaborative approach, high technical standards, and commitment to getting things right the first time. You'll be joining a close-knit estimating team backed by strong commercial and operational support. What You'll Be Doing Preparing detailed mechanical cost estimates and tender submissions across multiple sectors Reviewing technical drawings, specifications, and project documents Performing quantity take-offs and pricing labour, plant, and materials Sourcing competitive pricing from subcontractors and suppliers Supporting design development during the tender stage Creating tender summaries and assisting with handovers to project delivery teams Working closely with directors and senior commercial leads on bid strategy Using on-screen take-off and estimating software (training provided if needed) Skills & Experience Required 5+ years of experience as a Mechanical Estimator in the building services industry Strong knowledge of mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, and pipework Experience estimating projects between £250k and £6m Confident in interpreting technical documentation and drawings Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail Ability to work to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment Comfortable working independently or as part of a wider pre-construction team Benefits Salary: £55,000 - £60,000 depending on experience Car allowance + full benefits package Stable and long-standing contractor with a consistent project pipeline Role with strong visibility and influence in the business Clear progression opportunities and ongoing support #J-18808-Ljbffr
