Quality Control Coordinator

Job Purpose Ensuring the effective performance of Quality Control activities required to demonstrate product conformance, while adhering to company and client procedures. Key Responsibilities Establishing good working relationships with all managers, superintendents, production and Q.C personnel to ensure effective operation of all Quality Control activities at appointed Fabrication facility. Reviewing, revising and approving Material Requisition Books (MRB), ensuring customer requirements are verified. Coordinating all QC activities including review of material certification. Ensuring that the appropriate levels of quality are met, and that final product produced is compliant with customer specification and expectations. Ensuring all aspects of NDT and dimensional tolerances for fabrication are correct and ensuring that all necessary certification is in place prior to final release. Preparing documentation for 3rd party inspectors and client representatives prior to final release. Organising and liaising with 3rd party inspectors and client representatives ensuring requirements are complete for existing works. Ensuring full traceability of weld and material information is maintained and recorded on the company database. Reviewing and verifying documentation dossiers for accuracy prior to submission. Developing self in accordance with the changing responsibilities of the role. Skills & Qualifications Essential: Experience in a fabrication environment. Inspection experience. Desirable: Ability to co-ordinate internal resources and 3rd parties. Key Competencies Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Problem-solving ability. Excellent attention to detail. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Work Environment/Conditions Location: Determined by assigned Fabrication Facility. Full-Time: 40-hours per week.
