Operations Manager Majorly backed Manufacturer in the East Midlands is currently looking for an Operations Manager to join the team and drive managerial team. With the business in a strong place and supplying into a number of different manufacturing sectors you will be responsible for the continuing improvement of the business whilst managing direct reports in Production, Logistics and Maintenance as well as supporting HR and the Commercial team. Reporting into the General Manager; you will be a strong communicator and will be a key advocate for Engagement with internal stakeholders, the workforce and external stakeholders. You will be a key ambassador for Quality, Health and safety, Your People, Cost and Delivery. You will be a key part of driving cultural change on site and driving positive change within the Production team. Strong order book and a profitable business: so this represents a good opportunity. Location Derbyshire (commutable from Derby, Rotherham, Sheffield, Chesterfield, Nottingham, Mansfield) Salary Up to GBP 60,000 (depending on experience) + bonus + benefits Key Responsibilities Oversee day:to:day operations using the SQCDP review and implement improvements where possible. Develop and grow your direct reports and the team around you to build a positive and nurturing environment. Managing direct reports in Maintenance, Production, Transport as well as supporting Commercial and HR activity. Manage and mentor a diverse team, fostering engagement and professional growth. Driving a strong culture of Health and Safety on site. Collaborate with sales teams to meet revenue targets and identify market opportunities. Help implement a culture of process improvement with your management team Key Requirements Tangible record of Success in an Senior Management role within a Metals/Heavy Engineering Environment Qualification in Engineering (Degree, HNC, HND) ideal Formal Qualification in NEBOSH/IOSH ideally or experience or driving HSE in a regulated environment Strong communication skills is key; forging strong relationship with the your various direct reports Engagement and Empowerment will be key to this role Seniority level Mid-Senior level Employment type Full-time Job function Management and Manufacturing Advertising Services Please apply online or contact Sandeep Dhillon for a confidential conversation.
