Early Years Practitioner Job Reference: EDV/2025/NHS/54896 Location: The Avenue, Boreham, Chelmsford, Essex, CM3 3HS Contract: Permanent, Full-time (40 hours per week, Monday‑Friday, rotating shift) Salary: £26,208–£28,846 annually (full‑time). Term‑time only salary: £19,858–£21,856. Closing Date: 12:00pm, 4th Mar 2026 About This Role Provide education and care for children aged 1‑4 in the Nursery Division. Cover opening hours (8am‑6pm) on a rotational shift basis, ensuring the continuity of the Nursery’s high standards. Respect and promote the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and the values of the school. Responsibilities Work 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, on rotating shift covering nursery opening hours. Plan and deliver age‑appropriate learning experiences in line with EYFS. Support the development of children’s social, emotional, cognitive and physical skills. Ensure a safe, healthy and nurturing environment for all children in care. Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain the high quality of care and education. Qualifications Early Years experience and a good understanding of EYFS. Level 2 NNEB/NVQ qualification essential; Level 3 desirable. Enhance DBS check and commitment to safeguarding. Strong communication and organisational skills.
