Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our Real Estate Project Management Team in Cambridge. You will be part of a dynamic and diverse team, working across sectors on a wide variety of projects on a rotational basis. Senior Project Managers handle commissions of varying scale, value and complexity; from local community led initiatives to transnational projects with global resonance.

Responsibilities:

As a Senior Project Manager, you will:

  1. Lead and manage the delivery of complex real estate projects, ensuring that client objectives are met and that projects are delivered to time, cost and quality standards.
  2. Act as the key, day to day client interface, ensuring that client objectives are met and that projects are delivered to time and cost targets and the appropriate quality standards.
  3. Advise at a strategic level at the project conception stage, including providing advice on the different approaches that can be adopted in order to successfully achieve the client's overall objectives.
  4. Establish the overall success criteria for the project, including time, cost, technical and performance parameters.
  5. Plan for and manage the ongoing quality, safety, health and environment issues.
  6. Establish effective project governance, processes and systems to be utilised throughout project.
  7. Ensure the production of the detailed project plan.
  8. Monitor and apply performance management techniques, including the use of KPI's to improve project performance.
  9. Manage the change control process.
  10. Monitor and advise upon project finances.
  11. Ensure the production of formal project progress and other reports.
  12. Lead the marketing and business development activities, such as:
    1. Developing new business opportunities with existing and new Turner & Townsend clients.
    2. Identifying and acting upon cross-selling opportunities.
    3. Working with Associate Directors and Directors to construct bids for new work.
    4. Attending formal client pitches with Assistant Directors and Directors.
    5. Identifying and acting upon opportunities to improve project management products and services.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Degree qualified in relevant construction, real estate or project management discipline.
  • 5 years' experience managing Real Estate projects, ideally in a consultancy environment.
  • Willingness to travel within the UK and internationally as required.
  • Excellent communication skills, in person and written.
  • Professional membership desirable, such as RICS, PMI, or CIOB.
