We are now seeking a passionate and experienced Lead Radiographer to join our dynamic team and help shape the future of the imaging team.ResponsibilitiesClinical LeadershipSupervise and support radiographers and imaging assistants in daily operations.Ensure adherence to clinical protocols, safety standards, and best practices.Oversee complex imaging procedures, providing guidance and troubleshooting as needed.Operational ManagementAssist the Modality Lead Radiographer in scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow optimisation.Monitor equipment functionality and coordinate maintenance or repairs.Contribute to the development and implementation of departmental policies.Quality AssuranceParticipate in regular audits and quality improvement initiatives.Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and hospital policies.Promote a culture of continuous improvement and patient safety.Training and DevelopmentMentor junior staff and facilitate ongoing professional development.Organise and deliver training sessions on new technologies and procedures.Support student placements and contribute to educational activities.Patient CareDeliver compassionate, patient‑centred imaging services.Communicate effectively with patients, addressing concerns and explaining procedures.Ensure patient privacy, dignity, and comfort at all times.About the TrustBirmingham Women’s and Children’s NHS Foundation Trust is the first of its type in the UK.
