Apply today to help us improve lives across healthcare.Job DetailsThis role is in support of Cencora\'s wholesale distribution services in Europe operating through our Alliance Healthcare business.Job Scale and PurposeThe Loss Prevention Manager oversees Inventory, Security and Compliance at the Croydon Site. The role implements the Croydon Service Centre strategy to achieve business goals through operational discipline and excellence, delivering quality service to customers and engaging the team.Responsibilities include correct receipt and storage of products, ensuring service centre deliveries meet high standards, and supporting inventory accuracy and compliance with contractual obligations through upstream and downstream collaboration. You will review data-led insights for business improvements and investigations into stock discrepancies and ensure adherence to regulatory obligations.Key AccountabilitiesStock ControlProactively and reactively manage risk to people and stock with an analytical, continuous improvement approach.Support stock management KPIs while maintaining independent scrutiny to ensure proper execution.Maintain high stock accuracy and implement corrective actions where needed.Ensure inventory costs and overheads remain within budget through robust controls.Ensure compliance to upstream contractual requirements through KPI achievement.Perform inventory tasks within required time windows.Validate and investigate count overrides and stock discrepancies, escalating as needed.Manage supplier credit claims and uplifts reconciliation.Ensure correct processing, recording and destruction of products where appropriate.Review quarantine lines regularly and minimise quarantine through investigation and escalation.Organise supplier stock takes as required and validate product recalls with Warehouse Operations.Provide prompt feedback to customer queries and maintain integrity of discontinued line processes.Coach and train the stock control team and liaise with central functions, other service centres, suppliers and customers.SecurityMaintain security protection of the site and assets (link points, vans, CCTV, access control, intruder alarms).Coordinate onsite and outsourced searches in line with policy and targets.Manage new user setup and authority levels.Lead theft investigations and training related to security.Conduct regular planned preventative maintenance of key security assets.Auditing and ComplianceEnsure regulatory compliance through GDP SOPs, audits and monitoring per guidelines from MHRA, Home Office, Police and Fire Authorities.Lead external GDP compliance audits with the SC manager.Generate and monitor Q Pulse responses and organise regular qualitative audits with stakeholders.Ensure GDP compliance and participate in daily, weekly and monthly meetings.Chair the Monthly Loss Prevention Meeting focusing on losses and KPIs.Manage Warehouse Temperature Monitoring with SCM teams and oversee local GDP activities including service provider audits.Maintain the SC business continuity plan.Data Analysis, Investigation and TrendsDrive a culture of continuous improvement with high inventory accuracy within the AH pillar framework.Proactively use data to develop insights on stock discrepancy patterns and implement preventive actions.People Management, Coaching and DevelopmentDevelop and maintain knowledge across business areas as demand changes and provide effective leadership through regular briefings.Participate in daily SC leadership meetings and weekly Loss Prevention Manager meetings, and chair as required.Manage inventory costs within targets and monitor KPI performance with the Service Centre General Manager.Ensure H&S compliance and that direct reports understand their responsibilities.Provide coaching and development support to the team.Knowledge, Skills and Experience RequiredExcellent operational process knowledgeStrong leadership and interpersonal skillsExcellent written and verbal communicationSolution-minded approach in a fast-paced customer-centric environmentExperience leading investigations into stock loss, including interviewing colleaguesDetailed GDP knowledge and compliance experienceWorking knowledge of security systems (CCTV, access control, intruder alarms)Microsoft applicationsExperience managing changeExperience in managing a stock control function in a similar roleEssential RequirementsNamed on a Controlled Drugs license (requires enhanced DBS) for witnessed destruction of controlled drugsWorking to Home Office controlled drugs standards, GDP green guide, MHRA requirementsEnsuring site security standards are maintainedSupporting the Service Centre Senior Management team as part of the Duty Manager rotaWhat Cencora offersBenefit offerings outside the US may vary by country and align to local market practice.
