OverviewSenior Science Technician position in a Mixed Secondary School & Sixth Form in South West London.The school is ideally seeking a Senior Science Technician with a minimum of 4-5 years of experience in a UK Secondary School setting supporting KS3 - KS5 Science classes.This position will be full time and permanent, on a Term Time Only (39 weeks) contract. Working hours are 8am to 4pm, Monday to Friday (37.5 hours per week).If appointed, duties will include but are not limited to:Working alongside Science Teachers to plan and carry out practical lessonsTraining other Science Technicians to ensure they are following correct safety proceduresMaintaining accurate and up to date records of lab equipmentThe salary for this position will be between £35,200 and £37,423, subject to pro rata, depending on qualifications and experience of each applicant.The SchoolAn Ofsted rated 'Outstanding' Free School & Sixth Form, located in the London Borough of Wandsworth.Having opened in 2012 the school is now fully subscribed with 800 places for pupils aged 11 to 18 years old.The school is built on the landmark site of a former hospital and continues its tradition of service to the local community. The building can operate as a doctors' surgery for local families. The listed building has been refurbished and modernised to provide excellent learning facilities while preserving historic features. High quality classrooms and specialist spaces for RS, Music and Technology support effective teaching. The school has two courts, a sports hall, and makes good use of local facilities for outdoor games and competitive sport.RequirementsYou're encouraged to apply if you're an experienced Science Technician or Senior Science Technician.
