Science Technician Immediate start Excellent rates of pay Part time work pattern Enterprise & Science Specialist School Suitable for an experienced Science Technician Great opportunity for a Science Graduate with lab experience looking to develop a career in schools A Science Technician is needed in a Mixed Secondary School & Sixth Form in South West London. This will be a part time long term Science Technician position with scope to go permanent. The timetable will be 3 days a week for this Science Technician post and the school is flexible on what days they can offer. Responsibilities Assisting and preparing practical lessons alongside the Science Teachers Ensuring equipment and materials are safely stored when not in use Guiding staff and pupils in correct Health & Safety policies Maintaining and repairing all resources when required Keeping track of what is out of stock and making the necessary orders when needed Disposing of hazardous waste in a safe manner The rates of pay for this Science Technician position will be between £82.14 to £130 a day, depending on the qualifications and experiences of each applicant. The School An 'Outstanding' Secondary School & Sixth Form in the London Borough of Merton. It is a mixed, 11 - 18, non-selective school with a wide demographic of pupils and staff. 90% of students stay in education or employment after Key Stage 4. The site has its own dedicated SEN Support Centre and a variety of sports facilities. Ofsted have noted there is positive culture of learning and a strong sense of community.
