An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team in Surgical SDEC.Surgical same day emergency care (SDEC) unit provides a specialised service for rapid assessment and treatment of a variety of surgical conditions.The unit provides a dedicated space to access and commence treatment of acute surgical presentations from A&E, GP referrals and follow up patients who can be safely discharged after initial assessment and treatment.The successful candidates will be expected to provide a high standard of care, have excellent communication skills and be able to effectively respond to changing situations.We work within a multi-disciplinary team promoting independence and patient centred care, implementing realistic individualised goals to allow proactive discharge planning.All new staff are supported and there are many learning opportunities and training in new skills available.
