Requests for flexible working options will be considered (subject to business need).Grade 7.4 starting at £42,254 to £46,049 per annum, pro rata if part time.Contract TypeFixed Term ContractAbout the roleWe are seeking to appoint an Assistant Professor of Spanish (Education and Scholarship) to contribute to teaching, scholarship and administration in the Department of Language Studies (Modern Languages).General teaching expectations include contributing to teaching and module convening on undergraduate Spanish language modules on the Modern Language electives and pathways at beginner and intermediate level.Additional responsibilities include undertaking administrative responsibilities.About youThe postholder will work closely with colleagues in Modern Languages. You will be expected to convene, plan, teach and mark/moderate assessments in these subject areas. You will have the skills to manage your own workload and at times, support other colleagues. You will communicate clearly with the team, line management, and stakeholders.We are seeking someone who holds a master’s or postgraduate qualification in a relevant field.About our SchoolThe Faculty of Media, Arts and Humanities (MAH) comprises subjects spanning philosophy, languages, history, media, film, music and drama.
