Highland Trauma Unit, Ward 3A, is a 30 bedded unit who are currently looking to recruit Band 5 Registered Nurses to join our busy, hard working and friendly team. We are looking for enthusiastic, flexible and motivated staff who have an interest in caring for patients with Orthopaedic injuries and who possess excellent organisational and time management skills. The nursing team work 12.5 hour shifts and this includes both day and night shifts. Orthopaedic experience is not necessary.We have a well‑established team who work very well together to provide a high standard of nursing care for our patients. We deal with a wide range of injuries which result from trauma including hip fractures, long bone fractures, spinal injuries, soft tissue injuries, infections and any other injuries relating to Orthopaedics. We also accept the step‑down of patients belonging to the area from the Major Trauma Centres.We also care for many patients who suffer with Dementia and have ongoing training for all staff and have a member of staff allocated as our Dementia Champion Nurse.You are welcome to come and visit us before you apply for this post.
