We are looking to appoint a Behaviour, Attendance and Safeguarding Lead to support student attendance, behaviour and safeguarding, including tracking and monitoring attendance, ensuring behavioural policies are implemented and tracking and presenting key attendance data to key stakeholders at the Academy. The successful candidate will work with families to promote parental engagement, organise and support parental and family support and lead on other behaviour, attendance, safeguarding and wellbeing initiatives. The successful candidate will have experience of working in an educational setting or within a similar relevant position to provide appropriate advice and support to pupils, families and staff. To provide information, advice and guidance to parents / carers on matters relating to school attendance in order to provide a 'first day response' to attendance issues. Undertake home visits as required. To liaise with school staff, specifically the Vice Principal, form tutors and administration staff relating to the information received, and with other agencies as appropriate on matters relating to attendance and behaviour they will also need experience of writing and maintaining accurate records. Key responsibilities Track and monitor attendance and present key attendance data to stakeholders. Ensure behavioural policies are implemented across the Academy. Work with families to promote parental engagement. Organise and support parental and family support initiatives. Lead behaviour, attendance, safeguarding and wellbeing initiatives. Provide information and guidance to parents/carers on attendance matters. Undertake home visits as required. Liaise with school staff and other agencies on attendance and behaviour matters. Write and maintain accurate records. Qualifications and experience Experience working in an educational setting or a similar relevant role. Experience providing advice and support to pupils, families and staff. Experience writing and maintaining accurate records. Ability to organise and deliver home visits.
