About Us At Masabi, we’re driving the fare payment revolution, powering the journeys of millions all over the world. We build fare collection platforms that allow riders to seamlessly buy and present tickets for public transport either on their mobile phones, from a ticket machine, or even by tapping their bank card to travel. Our Justride platform is used in over 250 locations globally, including some of the largest cities in the world. With our industry-first mobile ticketing SDK, we’ve partnered with large players in the transport space, including Uber, Moovit and Transit. Your own journey is important to us too. Choosing a role here means joining a network of innovators from all walks of life; a group of passionate individuals who consistently deliver. Here, you’ll find the tools you need to build the career you want. Whether you’re taking the direct route or trying a new path, we’ll support you no matter what. The Role As Masabi scales from a successful mid‑market SaaS platform to serving some of the world’s busiest cities, we are hiring a VP Product Platform to shape the next stage of our technology. This role will help mature Justride, Masabi’s core fare collection platform, into an enterprise‑grade SaaS offering that supports large‑scale, mission‑critical transit systems and enables our next phase of growth across Europe and North America. Reporting to our CPO, you will lead the strategy and roadmap across mobile ticketing and payments, Account‑Based Ticketing, EMV, our API and integration layer, and the requirements that underpin reliability, performance and service tiers. You will guide a team of more than ten product managers and BAs, working across the organisation to deliver dependable, scalable and commercially meaningful capabilities for the cities and agencies we serve. As a core leader within Product and Engineering, you will shape the long‑term direction of Justride’s platform capabilities and contribute to the decisions that guide Masabi’s growth. If you are energised by building for scale and helping shape the future of urban mobility, we would love to meet you. Location We are a remote‑first company. This role is open to candidates working from our London office in a hybrid capacity or fully remote from anywhere in the UK or Canada. Platform Strategy and Execution Define and own the strategy for Masabi’s core platform domains, including ABT, EMV, mobile ticketing, the fare engine and our API and integration layer. Set clear priorities shaped by customer needs, market trends and competitive awareness. Ensure platform strategy directly supports enterprise deal success and delivery excellence. Bring a commercial lens to platform decisions, including how we influence and respond to public sector RFPs. Roadmap Delivery and Leadership Own the roadmap across multiple product areas and major customer programmes. Balance long‑term investment with the needs of large and complex deployments. Lead the full product lifecycle, from discovery and definition through delivery and iteration. Make portfolio‑level trade‑offs across platform investment, customer commitments, and long‑term technical sustainability. Market Leadership and Commercial Impact Build a strong understanding of Masabi’s markets and customer needs, using this insight to inform platform strategy and investment decisions. Stay close to competitors, emerging technologies and industry trends to sharpen priorities and strengthen differentiation. Represent Masabi as a senior product voice in selected customer and industry settings, where your experience adds value. Track success through adoption, commercial impact and customer outcomes, using data to guide improvement. Engineering and Quality Partnership Partner with Engineering to deliver the roadmap, scale and stabilise the platform. Represent non‑functional requirements with clarity, including SLAs, observability and performance. Support stronger quality practices and shared understanding of expected outcomes. APIs and Integrations Treat our API platform and integration layer as first‑class products. Strengthen the developer and partner experience through improved API coverage, documentation and tooling. Support internal and external teams to build effectively on the platform. Strategic Programmes and Customer Engagement Support go‑to‑market teams on strategic RFPs and major bids. Play a senior product role in large enterprise programmes and implementations. Represent Product in conversations with agency and partner stakeholders when needed. Leadership and Team Growth Lead and develop a team of product managers and product program leads. Build an outcome‑focused, collaborative product culture that supports learning and accountability. Coach emerging leaders and contribute to the broader Product and Engineering leadership team. About You You are an experienced platform product leader who is confident working across complex technology, payments and large enterprise environments. You understand what it takes to run a platform that is reliable, commercially healthy and ready for scale. Experience Leadership experience in product at a highly senior level, owning complex platforms or multi‑product portfolios. Background in at least one of the following: payments, transit or mobility, fintech, or integration‑heavy B2B SaaS. Proven experience with enterprise or public sector customers, including RFPs, SLAs and complex delivery environments. Experience leading teams of around eight to ten people across multiple products or programmes. A track record of driving commercial impact, such as revenue growth, adoption or margin improvement. Skills Strong technical understanding of APIs, integrations, payment flows and non‑functional requirements. Comfortable balancing long‑term product strategy with the needs of large, time‑sensitive programmes. Commercially thoughtful, with an eye for product opportunities and portfolio performance. Strategic, with the ability to go deeper when needed to support clarity and good decision‑making. Mindset Focused on outcomes and customer value, with a calm and grounded approach to ambiguity and pressure. Motivated by building, improving and leading in a scaling environment. Careers at Masabi are for people going places - driven by a mission to make transit fair and accessible for all. We are a network of innovators from all walks of life, passionate about making a difference. At Masabi, we operate with openness and trust, creating an environment where everyone feels empowered to bring their whole, authentic selves to work. Whoever you are, just be yourself. We welcome applications from underrepresented backgrounds and encourage you to share your pronouns at any stage. Together, we simplify journeys, remove barriers, and improve daily life for millions.
