Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Data Protection Manager (DPM) to support our Data Protection Officer (DPO) and serve as an internal expert, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, including the UK GDPR. In this pivotal role, you'll advise on best practices, respond to queries from both authorities and from within the business, and contribute to Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs). Strong stakeholder management is essential to this role. You'll also ensure that new projects consistently meet the highest standards of data protection. Responsibilities Ensuring and maintaining compliance with data protection laws, drive change across the business, and assist in managing GDPR-related risks. Facilitating knowledge sharing and collaboration through the DP Compliance Network and producing regular compliance reporting. Act as a privacy expert, providing guidance on regulatory changes, supporting risk assessments and Data Protection Impact Assessments. Representing the organisation at internal and external events, developing policies and guidelines, and managing privacy/data requests including rights requests. Delivering training and awareness, managing data protection risks and incidents, overseeing DSAR supplier, collaborating with cybersecurity teams. Qualifications Strong familiarity with data protection regulation, particularly UK GDPR and PECR and how it applies to cutting edge technology and processes, including artificial intelligence Considerable experience building and maintaining DPIAs/DPCA’s and of supporting multiple stakeholders. Track record of translating regulatory requirements into projects which have delivered new capability that has been applied and realised tangible benefits. Experience of working in complex, multi-supplier environments and able to demonstrate success with waterfall and agile delivery approaches. Working Location Our Hybrid working approach offers the opportunity for colleagues in some roles to work from home for an average of two days a week, providing the flexibility to work in an agile way whilst ensuring we deliver for the operational needs of Heathrow. Working arrangements vary from team to team and will be confirmed during the recruitment process. You'll need to be based in the UK and within a commutable distance to Heathrow.
