About the roleWe’re looking for a Real‑Time Operations Coordinator to join our Operations team and play a critical role in ensuring smart meter engineers can complete jobs safely, on time, and with great customer service.Key responsibilitiesReal‑time support: Providing live support to smart meter engineers during installations and commissioning, answering queries via WhatsApp, Teams, and phone, identifying jobs at risk and taking action to keep them moving.Job & customer coordination: Contacting customers with updates, access issues or delays, reallocating or rescheduling jobs in partnership with planners and team leaders, logging changes accurately in our systems.Operational support: Helping with warrant paperwork and office‑based warrant activity, escalating technical commissioning issues, working closely with Team Leaders, Planners, and the wider Operations team.QualificationsExperience in operations, customer service, field coordination, scheduling, dispatch, or real‑time work.The ability to stay calm and organised when things get busy.Confident communication skills.A problem‑solving mindset.Strong attention to detail.Enjoy working with people – engineers, customers, managers, partners.Desirable qualificationsExperience of the Utilities industry would be beneficial but is not essential.Benefits24 days annual leave + bank holidays.Holiday buy – up to 5 additional days.Day off on your birthday.Employee Assistance Programme.Annual salary review.Learning and development opportunities.Enhanced paternity, maternity and adoption policies.Yü made a difference Awards.3 days additional annual leave if you get married/civil partnership etc.Appointment allowance.Long service recognition.Refer a friend payment.Company sick pay (subject to length of service).New modern facilities.Death in service and critical illness cover.Plus, many more.Employment detailsLocation: Leicester.Working hours: 37.5 hours per week – some weekend working, generally 1 in 6 weekends.Compensation: £25,000 – £26,000 per year.Reports to: Customer Services & Intraday Manager.Legal informationThis position does not fulfil the UK Visas & Immigration sponsorship criteria for Skilled Worker, therefore we can only accept applications from candidates who already have an indefinite right to work in the UK.If you need any reasonable adjustments to help you apply for a role, please let us know and we will see what we can do. #J-18808-Ljbffr
